Google Chrome.

We saw an interesting development lately, (Sept, 2008) when Google announced it had released a beta version of a new browser - a Google browser called Chrome. It will be interesting to see how this develops but at the moment it is fast and very easy to use and has that classic Google understatement of design.

Chrome's major benefits are, in my opinion, its speed, and added security and the fact that each tab in the browser is independent so that if one crashes due to an errant web page, the whole browser doesnt fail.
One wonders if a Google operating system will come next - if it does it will be clean, lean and very simple to use and set up and you would then use your Chrome browser to launch your applications. I suspect we are going to see some major changes over the next few years as the way we use our computers is becomes more Googlised.

Today the browser market is still dominated by Internet Explorer with Firefox a rapidly closing 2nd. Hopefully Googles entry into the market drives the browser building community to new heights.
